A MSc in Business Management, a short stint in investment banking and an incredible sporting talent, Andrew Pozzi is a fine blend of brains and brawn. Pozzi has made his mark at the top end of sport, he’s Britain’s no.1 sprint hurdler and the World Indoor 60m hurdle champion.
Pozzi had a stellar debut season as a pro athlete and won the British Athletics “Outstanding Athlete of the Year award”. Unfortunately, having suffered from injuries from 2012 until 2016 whilst transitioning to the senior ranks, Pozzi did not fulfil his enormous potential in the early days. A change in his coaching setup resulted in Pozzi overcoming these injuries and is now running pain free and fast. The difference in performance was instant, After only a few weeks of training, Pozzi headed to Rio 2016 in great form having raced a new lifetime best 13.19s at the Muller Anniversary Games to beat a world class field and win the race in a time that was subsequently good enough to medal at the Olympics.
With injury a thing of the past, Pozzi has already been crowned 2017 European Indoor Champion, and followed this up by becoming the 2018 World Indoor Champion in front of his home crowd in Birmingham at the NEC Arena. He is undoutably one of the most exciting talents in world athletics and perfectly poised to become a prominent sporting name for many years to come.
